Hubbs Sea World Research Institute Field Trip,
Melbourne Beach on Monday, July 14, 2025,
9:30 AM. Hubbs-Sea World Research Institute is an independent, non-profit research organization that provides innovative and objective scientific solutions to challenges facing ocean health and marine life in our rapidly changing world.
The institute began in 1963 when Milton C. Shedd, one of the visionary founders of SeaWorld recognized the importance of developing and nurturing a non-profit research foundation with the vision “to return to the sea some measure of the benefits derived from it.” The one hour+ visit will include a full tour of the institute, followed by a walk through the sea grass nursery. The Institute is handicap accessible. Car pooling will be necessary because of limited parking.
Respond to Nancy Wheeler, 518-224-0070, or Carol Hesser, 321-868-3973, by June 30 so that Director, Jeff Eble (he spoke to us at last October’s luncheon), can arrange for guides.
